reak Free Productions was set up by Jennifer Duncan who has had a long and varied career within the broadcast media, working for both BBC television and radio. Whilst working as a freelancer for the BBC, Jennifer was also a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader in Media Production at the University of Teesside for five years. In 2004 Jennifer left academia to set up Break Free Productions.
Jennifer produces and directs all the Break Free commissions. By using her knowledge of the production processes she is able to advise clients on how best to achieve their production goals and to make sure that the experience is positive for all involved.
Jennifer works with her husband Mark Duncan who was an editor for ITV for ten years before going freelance and setting up a post production facility. Mark has worked on many network and regional programmes for ITV, BBC and other broadcasters. Mark’s website can be found here.
